Is the Universal/Employee Transit Pass on my U Card?

Yes! The Universal Transit Pass (UTP) and Employee Transit Pass are available on your U Card as long as you meet the eligibility requirements listed on the PTS website.

Checking if your UTP is active

You can check online to see if your UTP is active on your U Card. To check:

1. Visit the Metro Transit website
2. Fill in the Go-To Card number with your U Card's MiFare number. This is the 16-digit number to the right of the black stripe on the back of your U Card.
3. Your status will display.
   • If active, you will see "Universal Pass" under the "Pass:" heading.
   • If the above does not display, your pass has not been activated. Learn how to activate your pass here.
