Access & Identification

New Employee

Getting your new hires a U Card is as simple as coming to the U Card Office. Learn about accepted IDs and uploading a photo.

Selection Guide

We have put together an interactive quiz for departments to investigate what account/U Card type may be best for non-University employees.

Temporary Access Cards

Temporary Access Cards are cards that can give individuals, who do not qualify for a U Card, access to secured buildings.

Sponsored U Cards

Grant a photo ID with access capabilities to affiliated academic staff, affiliated staff, affiliated students, or visiting students.

Person-of-Interest U Cards

For situations where people have an association outside of a defined appointment with the University and need access to resources.

ID Badges

Departmental ID badges are used as an additional form of Photo ID to be displayed and do not have the ability to be used for door access.

Door Access

The U Card Office does not manage or control door access. Learn more information about requesting door access on campus.

Accessories

The U Card Office stocks a variety of accessories. Items may be purchased in-office at Coffman or via email (if using EFS).

Printing

Copy Cards

Copy cards are credit based cards available to University departments which allow users the ability to charge printing costs to a card which is then charged back to the Department’s EFS account.

Print Tender

Departments may set up a print tender account to allow authorized individuals printing funds through their U Card at specific machines.

Event Support

Handheld Readers

Handheld U Card readers allow you to swipe U Cards and track attendance and/or collect data about the card holder.
