Important Update: Changes to Gopher GOLD Account Terms and Conditions
Updates to the Gopher GOLD Account Terms and Conditions will be effective March 1, 2025. These changes are designed to enhance the security and functionality of your Gopher GOLD account.
Key Changes
- Mail-In Deposits: The U Card Office will no longer accept mail-in deposits of any kind. Any mailed deposits will be returned to the sender. In-person and online deposits are still accepted.
- Inactive Accounts: Previously, accounts inactive for 12 or more months were subject to a $3 per month inactivity fee with the entire balance forfeited after 18 months. The $3 inactivity fee from months 12-17 has been eliminated. Instead, accounts with no activity for 18 consecutive months will be closed, and the remaining funds will be forfeited.
- Lost or Stolen Cards: Campus currency cards (cards obtained that are separate from the U Card for guest use) must be registered if they ever need to be deactivated in case of loss or theft. Unregistered cards will not be eligible for refunds. This does not apply to U Cards as those are automatically registered to the cardholder.
- Privacy Statement: A new section has been added outlining the use of personal information collected for the Gopher GOLD account.
If you have any questions or need further assistance, please contact the U Card Office via email at [email protected].
